EN copy cards

COPY CARDS

Preamble

There is the possibility to copy datasets with the icon in three master data dialogues (cards, vehicles and drivers).

Pre-conditions

To copy a dataset is only reasonable if name, description, number plate or card identification include parts which are fixed and the same in every dataset and parts which can be exchanged with ascending numbers.

Example: The card identification starts always with "600576=0000110" followed by a four digit card number and followed by the LUHN-checksum.

One dataset has to be created and recorded completely as a copy source/original or copy base.

Copy process

Number: how often shall be copied
Card: display of the card identification of the copy source which shall be copied
PAN: display of the copy template. This row has to be edited. See below.
No. to start: the first number to start the copying with, in this case with which card number the copying shall be started
for PAN: with which number in the card identification shall be started
Create vehicles too: only activate if vehicles shall be created too during the copying. These copied vehicles are assigned to the copied cards.

The following items are only used when "create vehicles too" is being activated:

- - Vehicle: display of the number plate which shall be copied
  - Reg. No.: display of the copy template. This row has to be edited. See below.
  - Company: selection of the company to which the copied vehicles belong
  - No. to start: the first number to start the copying with, in this case with which vehicle number shall be started. This number is also the number in the number plate.

copying WITHOUT vehicles

Number: copy 50 times the card with the number 100
PAN: Card identification starts always with "600576=0000110", followed by the four digit card number (therefore four times * as placeholder for the new numbers), followed by the LUHN-checksum (therefore one time # as placeholder for the calculated LUHN-checksum) --> 600576=0000110****#
No. to start: the copying shall start with the card number 101
for PAN: 101, because card number = variable part of the card identification
Create vehicles too: deactivated because only cards shall be copied/created

copying WITH vehicles

Number: copy 50 times the card with the number 100

Reg. No.: the number plate starts with "AA-BB", followed by the three digit registration number (therefore three times * as placeholder for the new numbers) --> AA-BB ***
Company: Auswahl welcher Firma alle neu angelegten und den Ausweisen zugeordneten Fahrzeuge gehören
No. to start: the creating/copying shall start with the vehicle number 101. This number is also the number in the number plate.

This documentation explains the copying of vehcile cards with and without creating vehicles during the copying. The same procedure is valid for the copying of driver cards.
