EN price mast

Preamble

From the Autopoll point of view there are two options to run a price mast.

Option 1: The price mast is directly connected to the card reader and gets the prices from it. No further settings in Autopoll required.

Option 2: The price mast will be connected directly with and registered in Autopoll like a normal "card reader".

In Autopoll it is possible to register the price masts of five different manufacturers directly as crad readers. (ACT, Gema, PWM, Schauf, TCP) For further information how to enter a price mast as card reader please read "card readers".

Important information when entering a new price mast

When entering a new price mast, which is directly connected to Autopoll, it is very important, that only propducts are being activated on the left side of which the prices are being used, but NO activation of tanks on the right side. This because after the storage of the data (even when activating tanks) the tanks are not visible and editable anymore.

Background information: During the determination which prices have to be sent to the price mast and which will be displayed later in the Autopoll center in the price mast symbol, the activated/connected tanks have the highest priority. That means only the prices of products are being sent to the price mast and displayed which are in the "activated/connected" tanks. This has histroical and technical reasons. (old card readers)

Different prices at card reader and price mast

If the price mast is connected directly to the card reader, the price mast gets the prices from the card reader. So the prices displayed at the price mast are the same as at the card reader.

If the price mast is connected directly to Autopoll, it could occur, that the price mast gets the prices from Autopoll first and the corresponding card reader later or never. This will lead to the problem, that the displayed price at the price mast differs to the price displayed at the card reader. But normally the price at the card reader, when polling the fuelling pistol, is the binding price.

To avoid such a possible problem the setting of field "korr. TA" in the price mast should be the selection of the corresponding card reader. With that setting it will be assured, that independent of when the card reader got the prices, the price mast will get always the prices last sent to the corresponding card reader.

The polling order should always be first a successful polling with and to the card reader and afterwards a successful polling with and to the price mast. A corresponding polling chain can be configured/created by using the actionplans.
